I love these containers—especially because they don’t have any text on them, so I can use them for more than just salt and pepper. I’ve been using mine for coffee and spices, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on how stylish they make my kitchen look!
I was surprised by size of this cellars-much bigger and hold quite a volume. Perfect for a bustling kitchen-chef. I store flax seeds in one and chia seeds in the other, s far the lids give me no problem. A bit overpriced but solid quality.
These are okay-ish I would say. The lid is not super well-fitting. I am using the cellars for salt and pepper and only keep them 2/3rd full - they are large enough and hold a good amount to be kept out on the counter for cooking purposes. The lid of one of the containers in particular, however, never really sits in well. It always juts a bit up on one side. The other container is similar too, but one is more obvious than the other. Other than the lid having this fitting issue (which is supposed to be the main thing!), I like the quality of the ceramic and the size of the salt and pepper cellars. Overall, their appearance is not up-to-the-mark because of the ill-fitting lids. They are easy to use because their wide open mouths make grabbing a pinch of this or that very easy - it is very functional while cooking! Not a value for money buy, in general, I think. They are a bit too expensive at $21.99 (especially given their lid quality) as of the date of this review!
Very well made and packaged. The items came without issue. I love the wide mouth of these cellar, making reaching in to get a pinch of salt very easy. The lid is easy to remove from the cellar. The cellar itself is made of thick ceramic, feel sturdy and not easy to break. I like that it came in two different colors, for easy identifying the salt and pepper. Also glad that it didn't have the label of "salt" and "pepper", so it can be uses to hold other spices.
Great salt and pepper containers! They have a heft to them and they are somewhat airtight, as long as you don't overfill them. They are not heavy but not super lightweight either. They work well and they look great on my counter.
